Dr. Michelle
Gan (OD, OAA)obtained an Optometry Degree from the
prestigious Southern
California College of Optometry (SCCO), the top optometry school
in US, with an emphasis on pediatric diagnosis and treatment. For her outstanding
eye care, Dr. Michelle Gan was awarded the
Certificate of Excellence by MesVision, a BSK (a National Honor
Recognition), Excellent Ocular Disease Management Award, Best Pediatric
Clinician Award, and Exemplary Patient Care Award. She's also a
member of the Orthokeratology Academy of America (OAA).
Dr. Gan has a strong
foundation in child development with an A.A. degree of Child Development
from Southwest College, and has a thorough understanding of disease
with a Bachelor of Science of Biochemistry from San Diego State
University.
Dr. Gan
enjoys working with people of all ages. She has worked with children aged from 6 months to 18 years old
during her tenures at
the Pediatric Department of SCCO clinic, Sharp-Rees Stealy
Hospital and Escondido Family Practice. She also had extensive
experience of families and seniors. Seniors can have very
special needs and often have complex progressive eye diseases,
which require specialized courses of eye treatment. Dr. Gan
first began to practice these procedures at Scripps Memorial Medical Center
and has carried on her work at Quantum Senior Day Care Center.
Dr. Gan
diagnoses and manages eye diseases, co-manages eye surgeries with
top eye surgeons, and prescribes treatments, glasses or
specialty contact lenses for all your needs. Most of all, Dr.
Gan puts the patient first so that they get the best possible
eye care which suits their needs.
